On this page you will find information for parents and family members of children who receive or who may be eligible for special education services within the 14 school districts that comprise the North Coastal Consortium for Special Education (NCCSE).  It is designed to connect you to useful resources, to help you understand special education services, and to resolve concerns or questions you may have about those services.

The ABCs of IEPs* (*Individualized Education Program)

Saturday, September 30, 2017 - 9 am - 2 pm (light lunch provided)

Learn about the IEP process from the perspective of an administrator and a parent, including the components of an IEP, how to prepare for IEP meetings, rights and responsibilities, and how to create partnerships that work for yourself and your child.

Introduction to Self and Match at Home

Monday, October 9, 2017 - 9:30 am - 11:30 am

The Self & Match system has been used to support individuals with emotional and behavior challenges, autism, learning disabilities, and a variety of other challenges.  This interactive and hands-on workshop will provde an excellent opportunity to learn a well-defined, systematic self-monitoring intervention andmotivational system.  Participants will leave with a comprehensive tool in hand to implement immediately.

Bonsall Unified, Cardiff, Carlsbad Unified, Del Mar Union, Encinitas Union,  

Fallbrook Union Elementary, Fallbrook Union High, Oceanside Unified,  

Rancho Santa Fe, San Dieguito Union High, San Marcos Unified, Solana Beach, Vallecitos, and Vista Unified, as well as families whose children receive services through California Early Start.


Unless otherwise noted, all programs are presented in English with simultaneous interpretation in Spanish.

Introducción A Self & Match Para Uso En El Hogar

Lunes, 9 de Octubre, 2017 -  9:30 am - 11:30 am

El sistema Self & Match ha sido utilizado para apoyar a personas con problemas emocionales de conducta, autismo, discapacidades de aprendizaje, y una variedad de otros desafíos. Self & Match se puede incorporar a sistemas de comportamiento individualizados en el hogar, la escuela y la comunidad.  Este taller INTERACTIVO y PRÁCTICO les proporcionará una excelente oportunidad para aprender un sistema motivacional e intervención de auto-monitoreo sistemático bien definido.
