Chromebook Toolbox
- Onscreen Keyboard- When enabled, students can use an onscreen keyboard that includes options for word prediction, voice typing, and handwriting-to-text.
- Built in Dictation- Enable in the accessibility settings and use anywhere you can type.

Google Docs Voice Typing: Speech-to-text (Tools → Voice Typing) and Smart Compose for predictive text suggestions.

Google Keep: Free note-taking and voice memo tool; syncs across devices.

Google Tasks / Calendar: For managing assignments and schedules with visual reminders.

Screen Capture: Take screenshots or record your screen with optional voice narration. click the clock → Screen Capture in the quick settings menu.

Adjust display and magnification: Go to Settings → Accessibility → Display and magnification. Options include high contrast mode, screen magnifier, larger cursor, and font size adjustments.

Switch Access: Go to Settings → Accessibility → Keyboard and text input → Toggle Switch Access on. You can customize options in settings for scanning and input.
Common Extensions used in our SELPA
- Kami: PDF and Document Annotation and Markup Tool. Convert scanned files into readable PDFs using OCR tool (Optical Character Recognition). Works with Google Drive and Google Classroom.
- Grammarly: Grammar and Spell Checker.
- Read&Write for Google - The accessibility toolbar includes text-to-speech on the Web & in Drive
