Participants will learn how to use the Bookshare.org online library for people with print disabilities, identify students who are eligible for Bookshare, and how to share books with eligible students.

Learn strategies and ideas to create communication opportunities using AAC during every day classroom and home activities. Utilize a variety of AAC systems and conversational targets to enhance vocabulary for the AAC user, utilizing the principles of Aided Language Stimulation, Descriptive Teaching Models, and Social Scripting to increase expressive output in children who are using AAC.

Learn the basic and a few advanced features of Proloquo2Go communication app. This session will cover the differences between the two user areas: Basic and Core; how to edit/customize buttons, change field size and grid layouts; basic setting features: changing display, voice settings, text/font; and how to create a vocabulary specific for your student.

Learn more advanced editing and programming options of TouchChat communication app. This session will cover editing buttons and whole pages, copy and pasting features to make customizing quick, inserting photos, tips on searching the vocabulary database for best-matched pictures, managing settings such as voices, speech rate, dwell times, and hiding buttons. Also covered will be how to toggle between vocabularies and copy vocabularies for editing and customizing for your students.
